Since I am now a TRUE retail expert (co-owning my own store and all), my palsies Matt & Meredith over at the Today Showasked me to come on and dish on the best Black Friday deals, and since I was free this morning, I figured why not,

So this is what I told ‘em.

So Black Friday is right around the corner, and with retailers offering HUGE savings this year, braving the crowds this year with yield a bounty of savings!

Consumers can expect big savings on appliances and home goods as retailers are looking to lure consumers through the door.

* At Sears, consumers can find Kenmore washers and driers at HALF off.

This washer and drier set Kenmore is $579.98.
The usual price is 699.99 and 599.99 respectively, so thats a deal of 55% off.

But consumers have to get their early, as each Sears store is only offering 4 of each item on sale.

This limited quality is a trend we are seeing this year.

Black Friday probably has more relevance this year than any other because not only are retailers offering huge discounts on items, but have less inventory on hand—retailers have ordered less stock than last year as a precaution against a precarious economy. Thus, waiting til the last minute to shop will give consumers much less options this year.

* Retailers are discounting winter merchandise to great advantage to consumers. For instance we are seeing down comforters, which can retail from $100 and up for LESS than $20 in ALL sizes.

*  Small kitchen appliances are another hugely discounted category . Shoppers will find big savings on coffeemakers, crockpots, sandwich makers, and toasters like these from Target, which are super useful and practical gifts.

* Fashion gifts are another area consumers are getting fantastic deals.

Over the knee boots are VERY hot right now, and we will see them up to half off.
(Whats nice about these is that you can usually fold them down and still wear them into the next season when the thigh high look is over.)
