Robyn Moreno Asks: Is It Ok To Steal Someone’s Style?

img_01151

Hello all!

So yesterday, my friend Erika stopped by to check out or store—awesome! Not only is she a super cool chick, but she has fantastic style. She wore a gray thin cropped sweatshirt over a dressy dress, and paired it with a chunky necklace, tights and boots. The overall effect was very insouciant cool. In short—WICKED!

This morning when I dressed for the day, I pulled out my fave easy, awesome, black baby doll dress, then instinctively reached for my American Apparel gray cotton marled top, black granny boots, tights, and this absurdly awesome vintage tribal bib necklace.

Hmmm, one look in the mirror revealed: I was style THIEF! But I looked friggin’ good.. So I went with it.

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, and I did kinda tweak the look to my style opting for high heel boots (as opposed to flats) and a ethnic necklace (instead of the baubles Erika—my muse— had on.)

I love getting inspired from hot babes in the city. What do you guys think: Is it cool to appropriate someone’s style?

Let me know in the comment section below!

xxxo, Robyn
